The observed lines are from
(1) E. Kagi, K. Kawaguchi, S. Takano, and T. Hirano,
1996, J. Chem. Phys. 104, 1263.
In (1), the values of N cover the range of 26 to 31.
Extrapolations to much lower or much higher quantum numbers
should be viewed cautionsly.
In addition, at low values of N the 14N
hyperfine splitting may be resolvable.
The first excited bending state is 83.3 cm1
above the ground vibrational state according to ab initio
calculations in
(2) K. Ishii, T. Hirano, U. Nagashima, B. Weis, and K. Yamashita
1993, Astrophys. J. 410, L43.
The dipole moment is assumed to be the same as
in the ground vibrational state, see e050504.cat.
The partition function takes into account the spin multiplicity
of the 14N nucleus.
