Methyl internal rotation is frequently resolved in the rotational spectrum of the molecule. Transition frequencies up to 40 GHz were reported by
(1) M. Tyblewski, T.-K. Ha, and A. Bauder, 1986, J. Mol. Spectrosc. 115, 353.
The data were fit with erham. Please note that erham sometimes swaps the Kc labels for nominally prolate paired E symmetry levels. Several typographical and related errors were corrected in the line list. The frequency range and the number of transitions are somewhat small. Nevertheless, the quantum numbers cover a sizeable range. The calculated spectrum was truncated at J = 40 and at 200 GHz. Caution is advised for transition frequencies above 80 GHz or with calculated uncertainties exceeding 0.1 MHz. The state number 0 signals the A symmetry component and 1 the E symmetry component.
The dipole moment components were determined in (1).
