The spectrum resembles that of the protoplanetary nebula V353 Aur, which is somewhat better known as CRL (or AFGL) 618. As in the Galactic source, benzene was detected in absorption by its //ν//<sub>4</sub> band at 674.0 cm<sup>–1</sup> (or 14.84 μm).
