===== The Detection of Sulfanyl, SH, in the Interstellar Medium =====
The //J// = 5/2 – 3/2 transition of the lower energy fine structure component 2Π3/2 of the sulfanyl radical SH has been detected in absorption in the diffuse medium along the sight-line to the submillimeter continuum source W49N by\\

Two lines were observed near 1382.91 and 1383.24 GHz because of the Λ-doubling. The inferred column density is very similar to that of SH+ in that source, differing by less than a factor of two.

The same transitions of SH as above were observed toward W31C, G29.96-0.02, G34.3+0.1, W51, and W49N again.
