On the Detection of Cyanoethynyl, C3N, in Extragalactic Sources

B. Tercero, J. Cernicharo, S. Cuadrado, P. de Vicente, and M. Guélin
used the Yebes 40 m telescopy in the 7 mm wavelength region (rest frequencies: 58.7 − 93.5 GHz) to study the molecular content of a foreground galaxy at z = 0.89 in absorption toward the quasar PKS 1830-211:
New Molecular Species at Redshift //z// = 0.89
Astron. Astrophys. 636, (2020) Art. No. L7.
The cyanoethynyl radical, C3N, was identfied by four fine structure components of three rotational transitions with N = 6 − 5 to 8 − 7; two fine structure components were severly blended.
