On the Detection of Methyleneamidogen, H2CN, in Extragalactic Sources

B. Tercero, J. Cernicharo, S. Cuadrado, P. de Vicente, and M. Guélin
used the Yebes 40 m telescopy in the 7 mm wavelength region (rest frequencies: 58.7 − 93.5 GHz) to study the molecular content of a foreground galaxy at z = 0.89 in absorption toward the quasar PKS 1830-211:
New Molecular Species at Redshift //z// = 0.89
Astron. Astrophys. 636, (2020) Art. No. L7.
The methyleneamidogen radical, H2CN, also known as methaniminyl, was identfied by four hyperfine components of the 101 − 000 ortho rotational transition. The lines show good to quite reasonable signal-to-noise ratios.
