Discovery of Methyl Silane and Confirmation of Silyl Cyanide in IRC +10216
Astron. Astrophys. 606, Art. No. L5 (2017).
8 sets of methyl silane, CH3SiH3 transitions with J' between 4 and 16 (between 87 and 351 GHz) were detected with the IRAM 30 m telescope in emission toward the late-type C-rich star CW Leonis. The K levels are blended at low J, but partly resolved K level structure is seen at higher J. Some sets of transitions are slightly or strongly blended with emission lines of other molecules, but in all instances there are features not entirely blended.
