reported on the
Discovery of Two Metallic Cyanoacetylides in IRC +10216: HMgCCCN and NaCCCN
Astron. Astrophys. 672, Art. No. L12 (2023).
The molecule was identified in the course of a molecular line survey with the 40 m Yebes radio telescope between 31.0 and 50.3 GHz through four unblend and two slightly blended transitions. One further line was heavily blended and the one at highest frequency was slightly too weak to be observed. The identification relied on quantum chemical calculations in the absense of laboratory spectroscopic data. The rotational temperature is roughly 17 K. The abundance ratios of HMgC3N : MgCN : MgC3N : MgC5N : MgNC : HMgNC are about 30 : 7.4 : 93 : 47 : 130 : 6.
