Fuentetaja, P. de Vicente, and J. Cernicharo\\ announced the\\ **[[https://doi.org/10.1051/0004-6361/202453459|Detection of Thioacetaldehyde (CH3CHS) in TMC-1: Sulfur-oxygen Differentiation along the Hydrogenation Sequence]]**\\ //Astron. Astrophys.// **693**, Art. No. L20 (2025).\\ Thioacetaldehyde, also known as ethanthial, was identified through four //a//-type transitions with //J// = 3 − 2 and 4 − 3 and //Ka// ≤ 1 in the course of a molecular line survey of the prototypical cold dark molecular cloud TMC-1 carried out with the Yebes 40 m radio telescope between 31.0 and 50.4 GHz. The transitions displayed resolved methyl internal rotation splitting; the E component of 303 − 202 is blended. A value of //T//rot = 9 K was assumed. Its column density is about a factor of 36 lower than that of acetaldehyde.\\ \\ ---- Contributor(s): H. S. P. Müller; 01, 2025 ---- molecules/ism/ch3chs.txt Last modified: 2025/01/30 15:35by mueller
