Detection of Interstellar HCS and its Metastable Isomer HSC: New Pieces in the Puzzle of Sulfur Chemistry
Astron. Astrophys. , Art. No. L1 (2018).
The JKa,Kc = 20,2 – 10,1 transition was detected for both molecules near 81 GHz toward the the young stellar object IRAS 18148–0440 in the L483 dense core. Five hyperfine components of two FS components were detected for HCS with reasonable to very good signal-to-noise ratios. Only two hyperfine components of two FS components were detected for HSC; one observable HFS component was affected by a negative frequency-switching feature of a different molecule. The derived HCS/HSC ratio is about 40, and the H2CS/HCS ratio is around 2.
