Expanding the C3H6O2 Isomeric Interstellar Inventory: Discovery of Lactaldehyde and Methoxyacetaldehyde in G+0.693−0.027
Astron. Astrophys. 706, (2026) Art. No. A316.
Methoxyethanal, also known as methoxyacetaldehyde, was detected in the course of a molecular line survey of this cold, shocked molecular cloud near Sagittarius B2 and in the Galactic center region. Three transitions with good signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) between 35 and 50 GHz were essentially unblended, three further transitions were somewhat blended. The authors provide column density raios of the C3H6O2 isomers.
