announced the
Detection of ethynylbenzene in TMC-1 and the interstellar search for 1,2-diethynylbenzene
Astron. Astrophys. 677, Art. No. A166 (2023).
More than two dozen a-type transitions with 10 ≤ J ≤ 16 and Ka ≤ 6 between 30.5 and 40.1 GHz were assigned as essentially unblended or only slightly blended transitions. The observations were part of the QUIJOTE line survey which covers 31.0 to 50.3 GHz and were carried out with the Yebes 40 m dish. The molecules is a factor of ~2.5 more abundant than cyanobenzene (aka benzonitrile). A similar ratio was reported for the ehynyl versus cyano derivatives of C3H4.
